| Insurance? It Might Be Time To Consider Insuring Your Collection |

If you have worked hard to enhance your diecast collection over the years, it just might be time to consider insuring your pride and joy. With values soaring on many pieces, to hundreds, and sometimes a few thousand dollars, many collectors may not even realize the value of what they have. There is a company called The Collectibles Insurance Agency that offers such insurance. Here is some information from their website: Hobby Insurance is our only business...and we are the largest agency in the world offering the collector an unblemished record of over 3 decades of insurance services. We provide coverage against burglary, theft, robbery, fire, flood (including appliance overflow, broken water pipes and sewer backups), mysterious disappearance, breakage, hurricane, earthquake, tornado, cyclone, mud slide, lightning, windstorm, and other natural catastrophes. You receive coverage at your home, in a bank and worldwide coverage for travel and displays. You are insured when your collectibles are sent anywhere in the world by secure mail or a secure shipping method. What Do We Insure? In 1966 we began providing specialized insurance coverage to stamp and postcard collectors and dealers. In the early 1990's we added coverage for animation art, autographs, manuscripts, historical documents and most other paper collectibles. In 1997 we began insuring: advertising, badges, black Americana collectibles, books, bottles, buttons, ceramics, china, Civil War Collectibles, clothing, comics, crystal, currency, dolls, exposition collectibles, figurines, folk art, games, general collectibles, glass, globes, insulators, Judaica, juke boxes, lamps, lighting, limited edition collectibles, lithographs, magic, maps, medals, military/movie/TV/politic al/sports memorabilia, model trains and cars, music boxes, musical instrument collectibles, native American collectibles, ornaments, patches, penny arcade, pens, pins, photos, plates, posters, porcelain, pottery, prints, records, scientific & medical instruments, slot machines, stock & bond certificates, textiles, Teddy Bears, Tobaccoiana collectibles, tokens, tool collectibles, toys, worlds fairs, writing instruments, and many similar collectibles. In 1998 we added collectible coins (except gold and platinum), guns, edged weapons, knives, and sports cards. Except for a special policy for stamps and also a special policy for guns, knives and edged weapons, these collectibles can all be insured on one application, just list your different collections in a brief one-line statement. We insure over 100 types of collectibles, call us toll free and ask about what you collect. We do not insure bullion, coins containing gold and platinum (we do insure silver, cooper and other coins), jewelry, watches containing precious or semiprecious gems, furniture, motor vehicles, live animals or plants, fine arts such as original paintings and statues but original animation and comic art, prints, lithographs and other similar collectibles are not fine arts. Since 1971 we have paid over $25,000,000 in losses and our rates are based on this loss history. You can learn more by clicking this link. When considering insurance, it is important to do your research and make sure you are getting the best value, and protection you can afford. Take care of your collection, and in the years ahead, it will take care of you! This blog brought to you by Hobby Wheels Deals - Your #1 Diecast Auction!
