Panamera Should Hit Showrooms In 2009 POSTED: 5:42 am CDT July 28, 2005 Porsche and four-doors aren't usually used in the same sentence, but the German car builder is planning to change that with its Panamera sports coupe. Porsche officials gave the go-ahead for the new four-seater that will blend the high-performance of its classic 911 and the interior roominess of its Cayenne model, according to an online news release. The Porsche Web site also said the name comes from the legendary Carrera Panamericana long-distance race held in Mexico. The Panamera is expected in showrooms in 2009. |
